Folk Art Lure Collections Page 1
This is a new section of the site for the display of collections of antique Folk Art Lures.
These homemade lures come in a huge variety of form and color from the very simple to the intricate and elaborate.
They are a tribute to the creativity and resourcefulness of the American fisherman. I think they’re neat as heck……
A big thanks to Dan Milewski for allowing me to display his outstanding collection to launch the section.
***** I'm very sad to hear that Dan has lost his struggle with cancer and has left us. It's a great loss to out little lure
collecting community and he will be missed by all. Our condolences to his family and close friends.
I'm going to leave his collection here for a while as a tribute to him. *****
Dan Milewski's collection of Folk Art Baits
Cold Spring, New York
This is just a super collection of early Folk Art lures.
Dan has some outstanding and totally unique examples.
Some of his folk lures have been attributed to Joe Pepper of Rome, NY
who's factory made lures are highly sought and very valuable.
Thanks Dan...!!!
